Marti Longoria Potts

PGA member 24 years!!!

I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. I started playing golf at the age of 10 and 41 years later I am still in love with the game. I played college golf at the University of Oklahoma. BOOMER SOONER!!! After college I played on various mini tours including the LPGA's Futures tour for 6 years before I decided to leave the competitive side and start a career in the business. Passed my PAT in November of 1997 and a month later started the PGA GPTP (the last year before the program changed) and became a PGA apprentice. I was the Head Golf Professional at King Crossing Country Club for just shy of 3 years before I became the Head Golf Professional for the City of Corpus Christi Municipal Golf Courses, Gabe Lozano and Oso Beach. I left the city after 5 years vested and started building my own golf range and teaching facility in August 2009 and opened TEE2GREEN Golf Range and Teaching Facility in January 2010. Almost 10 years later with many ups and downs but more good to outweigh the bad, I knew I was ready and missing the other side of the industry. Being the only standalone golf range in town had its perks but I was tired. We were opened 7 days a week from 10AM-9PM and I had only 1 employee, my Uncle John. He was my rock. Without family to help day to day with my son, my dream would not have been possible. My DAD was my #1 cheerleader and still is today. Throughout the years I have always had a passion for junior golf and felt the need to give back since so much was given to me as a little girl to help my golf career take off. I created my own junior golf tour to coincide with the STPGA as well as camps and clinic all year long.

I was awarded the 2017 STPGA CHAPTER JR GOLF LEADER OF THE YEAR AND STPGA SECTION JR GOLF DEVELOPMENT AWARD. "Through all the blood sweat and tears I have finally arrived!!!!"
